Glossary
Definitions for every term related to Duel referral codes, crypto casinos, rakeback, and related concepts. Use this as your reference guide.
A
Affiliate Code
A code tied to an affiliate marketer that tracks signups for commission purposes. Functionally similar to a referral code; the distinction is primarily how the relationship is managed (formal affiliate program vs peer referral). DUEL5 functions as both.
C
Crypto Casino
An online casino that primarily accepts cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.) for deposits and withdrawals. Often features provably fair games, faster transactions, and enhanced privacy compared to fiat casinos.
Client Seed
In provably fair gaming, a value contributed by the player (or generated for them) that is combined with the server seed to determine the game outcome. Ensures neither party alone controls the result.
D
Duel Originals
Games developed exclusively by Duel.com's in-house team. These proprietary titles are only available on Duel and are the games that carry the 100% RTP benefit for referral code users.
E
Enhanced Rakeback
An elevated rakeback rate above the platform default. On Duel.com, using DUEL5 or FUSE at registration unlocks 50% Enhanced Rakeback — significantly above the industry average of 10–25%.
H
House Edge
The mathematical advantage a casino has over players in any given game, expressed as a percentage of wagers. A 2% house edge means the casino theoretically retains $2 per $100 wagered. House Edge = 100% − RTP.
P
Promo Code
A platform-issued code redeemable for a one-time bonus, typically in an account settings panel or at deposit. Unlike referral codes, promo codes are not tied to a specific referrer and usually provide one-time rather than ongoing rewards.
Provably Fair
A cryptographic system that allows players to independently verify each game outcome was determined randomly and was not manipulated. Uses a combination of server seeds and client seeds to generate verifiable results.
R
Referral Code
A unique alphanumeric string entered during account registration that creates a tracked relationship between a new user and a referrer, triggering predefined benefits. On Duel.com, DUEL5 and FUSE are referral codes that unlock 50% Enhanced Rakeback.
Rakeback
A reward mechanism where the platform returns a percentage of its theoretical earnings (house edge) to the player as cash or credits. With 50% rakeback, if the platform theoretically earns $10 from your play, you receive $5 back.
Return to Player (RTP)
The theoretical percentage of all wagered money that a game pays back to players over time. A 97% RTP means $97 is returned per $100 wagered theoretically. With DUEL5/FUSE, Duel Originals have 100% RTP — no house edge.
S
Server Seed
In provably fair gaming, a random value generated by the casino server before a game round. The hash (encrypted version) is shown to the player before the round. After the round, the original seed is revealed for verification.
V
Variance (Volatility)
The degree to which actual results deviate from the theoretical RTP in any given session. High variance = infrequent large wins. Low variance = frequent small wins. Two games can have identical RTP with very different variance.
VIP Rewards
An enhanced loyalty program for high-volume players, typically featuring better rakeback rates, personal account managers, faster withdrawals, and exclusive bonuses. Using a referral code from the start positions new users well for VIP progression.
W
Wagering
The act of placing bets on games or outcomes. In the context of rakeback, "wagering" refers to the total amount bet, which forms the basis for calculating rakeback rewards.
Wagering Requirements
Conditions attached to bonus money requiring players to bet the bonus amount a specified number of times before withdrawal. Example: "20x wagering" on a $100 bonus = must wager $2,000 total. Standard rakeback does not typically carry wagering requirements.
